Canberra Grammar School – Music Centre and Auditorium

The Canberra Grammar School’s new Music Centre and Auditorium is an impressive new modern facility that blends seamlessly into the existing period structure. This MBA Award winning project, consisting of a 1300 seat Auditorium with the space for 100 seats on stage, a music centre with 17 practice rooms, various classrooms and common spaces and a top level Learning Commons the multifunctional space building adds an impressive feature and resource for both the school’s students and staff and also the wider community.

Faced with the difficult assignment of incorporating a modern structure and its systems within the existing heritage listed buildings and also working within a school grounds during the global pandemic, we were able to produce a state of the art facility that consists of an all new on site authority sub-station, complex earthing electrode arrangement, new electrical backbone infrastructure, power and communications systems, automated lighting control and innovative audio visual arrangements.
